2012 Cairns Amateurs Ambassador

Louise Struber
Celebrated fashionsta Louise Struber is the new face of the 2012 Cairns Amateurs Carnival.
Louise 30, born and bred of Cairns, has been appointed as Ambassador for the region’s premier social networking event.
Louise’s eye and talent for fashion saw her finish runner up in the 2011 National Fashions On The Field Final on Oaks Day at the Melbourne Cup Racing Carnival. Louise’s outfit was inspired by the 1940’s as well as the key trends of spring. The look comprised of a hand-painted silk mid-length skirt and hand-dyed yellow lace top by Cairns based designer Lana Michalenko, a statement bijoux bee necklace and an apricot velvet hat by local milliner Amanda Macor.
Louise’s first Fashions On The Field win was at Cairns Amateurs in 2007, since then she has gone onto to win Open Racewear at Amateurs in 2009 and 2011 and the Queensland Final on the Gold Coast in 2011 where she went on to win a Trip Of A Lifetime to the Melbourne Cup Racing Carnival to compete in the National Fashions On The Field Final. Louise felt honored to be able to compete in such a prestigious event and represent Queensland.
