Advertising Opportunities

This year, there are two ways in which businesses can advertise during the Cairns Amateurs Carnival - on the Big Screens or in our Horses for Courses campaign.

Get Your Business on the Big Screen

The introduction of Big Screen facilities at the Cairns Amateurs Carnival during race days has been enthusiastically received by patrons and advertisers alike.

The screens, 4.6m high x 8.6m wide, feature an exclusive Carnival Programme that consists of local races, presentations to race winners, Fashions on the Field judging and all the crowd colour and atmosphere from around the track interspersed with advertisements from those businesses who wish to reach the entire crowd at the Carnival.

One screen is situated inside the track fence, opposite the bookmaker’s area and general public grandstand and gives coverage to the general concourse and the Picnic in the Park area. The other screen is situated inside the track opposite the Members Area and Corporate Area, offering prime viewing for patrons of these areas.

The positioning of the screens is designed for maximum exposure of your advertisement to the patrons of the Carnival - 30,000 people over the two-day meeting.

Advertisements of 30 second duration would be supplied by the advertiser and will run for 20 spots. If advertisers wish to run 15 second advertisements, the package will alter to 40 spots. The advertisements will be screened between each race and at the start and end of each day’s race programme. The cost of the package is $2,200.00 (incl. GST).

Horses for Courses

What better way to advertise your business at the Cairns Amateurs than on a horse! As the ones on the race track will be a little busy winning, we have made space available on the Club’s own horses – fibreglass horses, of course – for innovative, creative and astute businesses to engage the attention of the 30,000 visitors to the Cairns Amateurs Carnival.

To make the horses distinctive, they are all grey and approximately 15 hands (1.5m) tall. Your logo/business name will be displayed on both sides of a “saddle cloth” that is attached to the horse of your choice and these horses are placed in various locations around Cannon Park during the 2-day Racing Carnival.

High Traffic Area - $1100.00 per horse (incl. GST)

General Traffic Area - $770.00 per horse (incl GST)
5 x Public Concourse

The Cairns Amateurs retains the right to determine placement of an advertiser if the business is deemed to be in conflict with an existing Sponsor’s area.
