Fashions on the Field has a glamorous and award-winning face at the helm of this year’s hotly contested competition at Cairns Amateurs Carnival.
While she now divides her time between Melbourne and her home city of Cairns, the former milliner and several times national Fashions on the Field winner, Amanda Macor is pleased to step up to the plate to ensure this year’s competition at Cannon Park is on par with the on-track catwalks of Melbourne and Sydney.
“I am absolutely passionate about racing fashion and to me, this is not a job. I love it. We have big things planned for this year’s ‘fashions’ that are destined to take our Carnival to the next level while turning the heads of our southern based counterparts. One such strategy will be the location of the fashions hub at Cannon Park, bringing fashions and the garden party front and center of the Cairns Amateurs Carnival. Another is our judging panel and I am absolutely thrilled to announced we have secured Stacie Galeano (formerly Kidner) whose resume as a Fashions on the Field contestant is full of wins at home and away.”
Stacie’s journey into the racing fashion world started a few years back when she combined her love for horses and fashion. Stacie has been a competitive horse rider from her early childhood and has won major equestrian events across Queensland. After completing two university degrees out of high school Stacie’s next focus was her passion for fashion.
Some of Stacie’s Fashions on the Field achievements include:
- Winner Best Dressed Women’s Racewear Royal Randwick – Championships Day 2 Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes Day 2016,
- Winner Cairns Amateurs 2015 Open Ladies Racewear,
- Second Runner-up Melbourne Cup Carnival Myer Oakes Day 2014,
- Second Runner-up Melbourne Cup Carnival Myer Derby Day 2014,
- Winner Cairns Amateurs 2014 Open Ladies Racewear; and
- Winner Cairns Amateurs 2014 25 & Under Ladies Racewear.
Stacie has recently been appointed the Local Fashion Judge of the Cairns Amateurs Carnival, making her the highest esteemed and first local judge in many year. What she enjoys most about Fashions on the Field is the fast paced and constantly evolving fashion industry and creativity allowing your outfit to be an extension of your personality.
Also joining Stacie is Carnival Ambassador Jo McKinnon and Melbourne milliner, Kerry Stanley who will take the stage as Emcee.
