- Membership Details

Members of the Far North Queensland Amateur Turf Club Inc. (Cairns Amateurs) can choose from two types of annual Membership:

Full Membership – this type of Membership covers the Member and a partner to the following functions:

  1. President’s Cocktails (booking fee required)
  2. Club Dinner (Tobruk Pool)
  3. Annual General Meeting (AGM) Luncheon (booking fee required)
  4. entrance to the race track and Members Area (including afternoon tea) during the two days of racing.

Race Membership – this type of Membership covers the Member and a partner to the following functions:

  1. entrance to the race track and Members Area (including afternoon tea) during the two days of racing
  2. AGM Luncheon (booking fee required)

Reciprocal rights

The Far North Queensland Amateur Turf Club does not offer reciprocal rights for visitors from other horse racing clubs. However, in the spirit of Far North Queensland hospitality, we welcome visitors from other clubs and can offer, at a reasonable cost, two-day admittance to the course and our Members Area during race days.

How to become a Club Member

Membership of the Far North Queensland Amateur Turf Club Inc. is capped and new applicants must be nominated and seconded by a current Club Members using an official Application for Membership form. Each application is entered into a list in strict order of date of receipt. Each year the Committee determines how many spaces are free for new members and names go to Ballot to be voted upon by current Members. The waiting list for Membership is currently 2 years. To submit an application for Membership, a form can be obtained from our office or by downloading the form below. Please note that incomplete forms will not be processed and Membership will not be considered.
