- Picnic in the Park
The Picnic in the Park area is designed to cater for groups of people who wish to host their own “picnic” in a social area. In 2008, the Picnic in the Park area has undergone some significant changes, however all of the elements that patrons of this area have enjoyed in the past are still part of the fun.
All fun, no work!
We’ve taken the hard work out of the equation - no longer are site holders required to set up their own areas prior to the Carnival. Your booking for a Picnic in the Park Site conveniently provides access to a fully constructed area located under a large marquee. These marquees are divided into Sites that allow you to mix with your invited friends within your allocated area, but still socialise with others in Picnic in the Park. Each Site allows for up to 25 guests and bookings can be made for additional sites to cater for extra guests. Sites are booked for both days of the Carnival, that is, Friday and Saturday. One-day bookings for Sites are not available.
Location! Location! Location!
There are two locations available for Sites – trackside in the “Dress Circle” or back from the track in the “Gallery”. You can choose the preferred location of your Site on the Booking Form in the space provided.
Inclusions
Each 25pax site includes the provision of following:
- A 10mx 3x fully assembled shaded area
- A designated area at the front and back of site for your exclusive use
- Fencing around and division between areas
- 10 chairs
- 2 tables
- 1 Esky
- Access to toilet facilities located in the area
- Access to a Super Bar and food facilities dedicated to the area
